REPRESENTATIVE LIST OF CRIMINAL CASES

 

Domestic Violence Case

 

Our client had never been in trouble in his life. While going through the process of a divorce, his wife accused him of domestic violence assault and tried to take his children away. In preparation for trial, we worked closely with his divorce attorney and conducted detailed interviews of his wife and other witnesses. At trial we were able to discredit the charges of domestic violence through her own prior statements and those of other witnesses. The jurors quickly acquitted our client.

 

Our client had been in trouble in the past but had cleaned up his life. When his ex-wife later claimed he had violated a no contact order, everyone assumed he must be guilty. Through our extensive investigation, however, we established that ex-wife’s claim was simply not true. The felony charge was dismissed shortly before trial.

 

Criminal Driving Offenses

Our client was charged with vehicular homicide. After investigation and extensive discussions with the prosecutor, the charge was reduced to an infraction with no jail time.

 

Assault with a Firearm

 

Our client was charged with felony assault for shooting another driver who confronted him in a road rage incident. From the start our client stated that he had acted in self defense. Not only did we prevail at trial, the jury also awarded our client the attorney fees he incurred in defending against this serious charge.

 

Attempted Murder and Burglary Case

 

On behalf of our client, we filed a post trial motion to withdraw guilty plea because his original attorney had plead him guilty to attempted murder and burglary in first degree without an adequate investigation into both the law and the facts. After extensive research and interviews of numerous witnesses we brought a successful motion to withdraw the pleas.

 

Criminal Drug Case

 

Our client was facing many years in prison on smuggling charges. Dissatisfied with his attorney the client hired us. After thorough investigation, which included 21 interviews, charges were reduced to a gross misdemeanor and community service.

 

Following a joint task force investigation our client was charged with felony drug offenses based on a marijuana grow operation on his property. Through multiple interviews and discovery motions, we determined the police had misrepresented the truth in the search warrant. Following a successful motion to suppress based on the unlawful search, the court dismissed all charges against our client.

 

Theft from a Business

 

Our client was charged with embezzling money from a business. We retained a forensic accountant and a computer expert and then began dismantling the State’s case. We also negotiated with the business’s civil attorney. Eventually, all criminal charges were dismissed.

 

Child Molestation Case

 

Our client was charged with multiple counts of first-degree child molestation. From the beginning we suspected that the mother and aunt had improperly influenced the children to make these false accusations. Through our extensive investigation and detailed interviews, we were able to successfully demonstrate that our client was wrongly accused. The prosecutor had no choice and dismissed all charges of child molestation against our client before the start of trial.
